Since I have minimal knowledge of the restaurant business, let\u2019s stick with the book idea.<\/p>\n<p>Writing a book means having a documented tangible (or electronic version) of your thoughts, feelings and\/or stories. It is something you can take pride in having and in showing other people. But a book is more than that \u2013 Here are three key reasons why a book can be of great benefit.<\/p>\n<p>1 \u2013 A book can allow you to display your expertise<\/p>\n<p>If you are a doctor, dentist, financial planner, gardener, plumber, fisherman, collector of classic cars or have expertise in any field, you can benefit from having a book. Quite simply, a book elevates your stature and makes you the go to expert for television interviews, webinars, seminars and interviews for all kinds of articles and blogs. In addition, if you are a speaker, you can increase your number of bookings and raise your speaker fees. Few people become the Bob Villa or Martha Stewart of their chosen fields, but you take a giant step in their direction by having a book of your own as you become prominently known as \u201cthe expert.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>2 \u2013 A book can help you market your business or brand<\/p>\n<p>Restaurants, hotels, major stores and even small businesses have books out that tell their stories and serve as significant marketing tools. Weather you are telling the story of growing a business from your garage into a multi-million dollar company or explaining how you became the greenest business in your industry, you can increase brand awareness with a book. Businesses with rich histories, such as long standing resorts often have books recounting their founding and growth through the years. Corporate books provide readers with a glimpse into the inner working of a company while displaying transparency. Business books are a means of generating both awareness and sales.<\/p>\n<p>3 \u2013 A book can let you to tell your story<\/p>\n<p>Many people have led extraordinary lives. A book can recount the stories of courage, bravery or overcoming obstacles to get to where you are today. It can also serve to bridge generations; preserve a rich family history or capture, in words, what makes you, your family, friends and \/or community special.
