Biography
I am a New York based editor, with a background in film and video editing, digital technology, working in multiple mediums. Over 35 years ago, I began in advertising in spot houses working with legendary film editors such as Steve Schreiber, and Bob DeRise.
During that time I learned creative and organizational skills that remain with me today.
Having worked on the finest advertising campaigns in the business gave me a deep appreciation for the craft, as well as developing a style of my own.
My years of experience have helped me to develop a proficiency of the craft and a mastery of style.
I am technically savvy, operating in Avid, Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro.
My experience includes: broadcast news, serial TV, documentaries, mainstream commercials, corporate video, episodic narratives and promos. My range of professional experience, particularly in news, serial television and documentary has given me a reputation for delivering the highest quality work.
I am currently on staff at ABC news, editing World News Tonight and Good Morning America.
I have extensive knowledge in the arts, music, world and film history, and journalism.
I am able to process raw material and compose with a fluid, expressive style, appropriate to the material.
I am highly respected by my professional peers for both my technical abilities and command of story structure in multiple mediums.
